Last Sunday we enjoyed a day of skiing. To escape the ski traffic back to Denver we stayed in Breckenridge for a few hours to look at the snow sculptures and sit down for a dinner. Luka gave this sculpture the highest points.

Riikka is a US Citizen now!

On Wednesday, January 17, Riikka took the oath for US Citizenship. At the ceremony, there were about 500 people from the Denver area representing 67 countries with Mexico being the largest county. The ceremony was very nice with messages from the the president and various other dignitaries.

One of the speakers made the statement that the USA has the most immigrants than all other countries combined. I wonder if that is true? I could image it. The other idea from the ceremony is that it is now your duty to vote and become involved in how the US is governed. It is a good thought for us all.

The house looks so pretty with all the snow... 

Luka certainly enjoyed playing in the snow! So did we.
