Luka enjoyed some Finnish ice cream at the brand new Valio ice cream bar in Kamppi.

Luka found his favorite ride in Linnanmki, which we visited on the opening day. We rode the "Rallirata, Rally Race" 3 or 4 times...Here's Luka with Laura-tti (aunt Laura).

One of the highlights of our two week visit: An invitation to Sauna-seura (thank you, Minna). The water temperature was only 4 C, but Anu and I plunged in 3 (!!) times.

At a get-together with my old Vaasa buddies we noticed a phenomenon: Lots of kids! Here's Miss Fanny (4mos), Luka and Casper (2 years). Missing from the picture is Casper's brand new baby brother (born on Good Friday).

Visit to Turku: Urpu (a friend from my exchange student year) and her sister with her boyfriend.

Did you know that a ferry crosses the Aura-river in Turku? I didn't. I got to visit one of my oldest friends in Turku, who had just moved there to practice medicine. People of Turku: You are in good hands. Anyway, it was a good visit, and we definately got to enjoy a beautiful spring day in a beautiful city (the Paris of Finland?).

Luka LOVED the train rides in Finland (which we did a lot, for free might I add. Helsinki regional transportation doesn't charge for kids or their parents when traveling with a stroller). Luka goes "choo choo" every time he sees a train. Pappa and mummu even took him back to the train station on their walks to see the trains.
