Tomorrow Luka will be 4 weeks old, and look, he can alread hold his own bottle. Ok, maybe daddy helped a little...

So, we finally made it back to Colorado. We had another doctor check up as well: Luka had gained a whopping pound in just one week! The little man sure has a good appetite.

1st Doctor's Appt

Today Luka went to the doctor for a weigh-in and a liver test. Both came out just fine and he is fit to travel in the next couple of days. Little Luka is now a whopping 4lbs and 2 ounces! That means he has already gained 2 ounces in the first week. He is doing really good with eating like a champ. He can now drink 2 ounces at a time. Way to go!

Nana is holding the 1st grandchild for the first time.

Well, well after a month of not blogging because of camping trips, baby showers, and general getting baby ready Luka has entered the world almost 5 weeks early! The general stats are:
Weight: 4.0 lbs / 1.8 kg
Length: 18.5 inches

Baby and mother are doing great. Riikka is released from the hospital and is ready for the new job of "super mom". Luka is going to stay in the hospital for a day or so more to make sure he is staying warm and gaining weight. Luka is in great health.
