Luka Thomas Hertling
Well, well after a month of not blogging because of camping trips, baby showers, and general getting baby ready Luka has entered the world almost 5 weeks early! The general stats are:
Weight: 4.0 lbs / 1.8 kg
Length: 18.5 inches
Baby and mother are doing great. Riikka is released from the hospital and is ready for the new job of "super mom". Luka is going to stay in the hospital for a day or so more to make sure he is staying warm and gaining weight. Luka is in great health.

Hey Jason,
It's me Alaa Justin's friend.. the girl you met in Egypt on the last day of your stay.. Congratualtions! I saw Luka's pictures and he's so gorgeous! Thought of saying that myself instead of just sending my greetings with Justin. Glad your baby and his mother are in good shape!

Hey Alaa! Very nice to hear from you. We just left the hospital with little Luka and tonight is our first night on our own. We are very excited and can't wait to put more pictures up.
So hopefully your summer is going well and you should be looking forward to returning to Egypt for the fall semester.

What a great name. Thomas. He will grow up with a ver distinguished name; very good choice for Luka Thomas. Luke? Tommy?
